I'm trying to boot Mint 21.2-xfce from USB on a new Fusion 14 (specs below)
I'd already tested the USB drive on an older PC Specialist notebook and it booted fine. But I am getting a hang with just this on screen:
pci 0000:00:07.0: DPC: RP PIO log size 0 is invalid
I followed the advice in https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209943#c28 (the consensus seems to be that this message is minor, and not what is causing the failed boot). Without "quiet" the last messages before it hangs are:
VGA switcheroo: detected Optimus DSM method \_SB_.PC00.PEG1.PEGP handle
nouveau: detected PR support, will not use DSM
nouveau: 0000:01:00.0 enabling device (0000 -> 0003)
It has been sat there at this point for 5+ minutes.
I will keep trying, and will follow up if I get it to boot, but if anyone knows the trick, or know it is doomed, or has a distro version that is known to work, please let me know.
Spec: i7-13700H, 16GB 4800Mhz, RTX 3050-6GB, 1TB m.2 SSD.
Fusion 14" Matte WQXGA 90Hz sRGB 95% LED Widescreen (2880x1800)
