Hello guys

Looking to buy a new Gaming Laptop to replace my old Proteus .

Whats the best bang for buck Laptop I can get for £1.3k? Just for Gaming and general usage. I play all sorts of Games so looking for an allrounder

Does it need to be a laptop?
Prices are all up right now, and I think all the laptops PCS currently have are Intel only...it makes things difficult right now especially given the budget.

When you say all sorts of games, can you give some examples of the regular titles you play?

You could consider this (dead on your budget). Its very similar to my set up, but a little cheaper than I paid, but please note:

i) its only a 2060 RTX - whereas everything is moving on to 3000 series GPUs.
ii) I have included Gold warranty - you could lower this, but I always try to recommend it if it fits with budget as it is 2 years parts warranty for only £69 more.
iii) my laptop has been absolutely perfect and I've loved it as a gaming laptop, APART from the keyboard keys were wearing out / disappearing / scratching off. Its off being fixed and hopefully just a minor faulty part and new keyboard is ok but I have to wait and see.
iv) it is AMD and there are newer versions of AMD chips apparently due soon so if you can save a bit more and get extra budget you could risk waiting however again, prices are going up a bit PLUS you might miss out on this if you wait too long

Obviously you can swap around some of the drives or memory - ie increase the speed of memory if its available, decrease to 16Gb (2x8) if you want etc have a little fiddle around to see what you get and price changes. As @sibun1 mentions though, you will probably get more for your buck if you go desktop...but have you got a monitor?
