internal 5-1 card reader.

Hello every one.

its my first time on here, & my first custom built baby. i have the FRACTAL DEFINE R4 BLACK PEARL QUIET MID-TOWER CASE.Can anyone tell me what the best internal 5-1 card reader is out there, & where i might get a 5.25 spacing cover for the original 5.25 bay, am i right in thinking the card readers are smaller??. i have seen pictures of the same case with the reader installed in the second bay. if anyone can help, that would be great. my computer is in pc spec right now & is on its 9th day so i need to get a move on.

Yes the card readers are smaller, so would not take up a whole drive bay.

It seems a card reader cannot be added to that case using the PCS configurator though I do not know why, but it claims the case does not support an internal memory card reader, so before ordering one you may want to find out why it can't support one and whether any you get would actually work with it. Note: this may only apply to the card readers than PCS can supply of course.

thanks for your speedy reply Rakk. when i asked about the card reader the chap said it would be fine and that when the pc comes i will be able to put the reader in at another time. he said the reason they dont do it is because they dont supply the front cover witch is needed for the front. i then asked if they could install the reader and i would purchase a front cover when it got here but he said the company computer system would let him put that spec in.?

Fair enough, wasn't sure why it couldn't be added within the configurator and was worried it wouldn't fit at all (though why it wouldn't I do not know), so yeah, fee free to ignore my comment :)

Hi, can anyone recommend a top quality 5-1 internal card reader, and possibly advice me on where to buy the plastic cover plate for the front of the case.

ive ordered the PC from PCs too. i asked them to install it but they wouldnt. can i purchase the same one and add it?

thanks for your reply, im new to this and didnt realize i had another page :(. the guy at PCs said it would be no problem, to be fair ive spoke with a couple of sales chaps and every one tried selling me something else. can you tell me what the pain is in fitting one please.
