New Gaming PC and new to liquid cooling

I'm looking to get a new gaming PC, having read other forum threads i think it might be over kill but I'd like to future proof as much as possible as my last pc I got here has lasted 10 year while only upgrading my graphics card 2 years ago.

Also I'm new to none air cooling and am a bit apprehensive about it. Does it require a lot of maintenance and is it effective.

Hiya, what’s your max budget?

What make and model monitor are you using?

Intel are in serious trouble as their chips are defective, but AMD perform better anyway at less cost, Intel are now the poor choice like AMD were years ago.

Its not watercooling per se, it’s a non conductive coolant in a completely sealed unit, there’s zero maintenance outside of the normal case dusting once in a while

My budget is around the £4000 mark

The monitor I'm currently using will be replaced in time but it's a benQ 1080p but will upgrade after I have the new build.

With coolant what's the life span. Would it need replacing and if so is it easy enough for an amateur to do?

I've only ever used intel CPU's. What would the relevant amd replacement?

What’s your budget for a monitor? At this level of build you’d need around £1000 upwards for a suitable monitor. The whole build has to balance, the pc is limited by the monitor in what it can output and vice versa so there’s no point speccing a 4k card if you’re going to pair it with a mid range monitor

The 7800X3D is the best gaming cpu on the market currently.

If you’re not in an absolute rush, the next gen 9800x3D is touted for release in September along with new x870 motherboards and new GPUs shortly after.

I would personally hold off until the next gen are released otherwise you’re buying into an already outdated architecture

Umm I really wasn't planning on buying such an expensive monitor.

I am not in a rush as it will be around September before I will be buying anyway.

Another question for you, if I do go with an AMD cpu would I be better going with a Radeon gpu also. Are they more compatible together or doesn't matter if I go Nvidea with it.

That’s how much they cost. As you go up resolution, so does the cost.

GPUs are independent of CPU, doesn’t matter what cpu you have.

AMD are better for pure rasterisation at lower price point

NVidia are better for ray tracing and frame generation leading to higher fps.
