5 short beeps on POST with new computer

Hi all,
I got my new computer last Saturday and it works, but I get 5 short beeps on POST.
It always loads in to windows fine and I can play games etc on it.
I sent a message to pcspecialist and they came back quickly for me to check some lights on the mother board when it starts up.

When I get the 5 short beeps, the VGA led lights up and stays lit.
They claim that it could be that the graphics card isn't seated correctly and for me to try and reseat it.

But I find that the beeps only happen when my monitor has not been turned on first

Does anyone here have similar/different thoughts on the situation before I try the card?

Thanks

I believe it's just telling you it can't find a monitor signal.

Try turning your monitor on manually just before you boot the PC, to see if that stops it.

While I agree the suggestion above is the solution, you’ve got major problems with that build. I would return it before your 14 days are up and get some advice on something suitable.

The cooler, case and PSU are by no means suitable and it will be throttling heavily under load. There are other issues also.
