Quick rundown for you

Amd cpus are currently better then intel

Ram speed is low for gaming 3200mhz is the sweet spot

Storage is messy ideally want a 500gb fast m.2 drive for windows and a 2nd m.2 drive 1tb for games

Cpu cooling is low end will probably do the job but will be loud

Power supply offers no room for future upgrades ideally a 850rmx is what you want

At least silver warrenty for £5

Drop bullguard causes issues

Graphics card may be over the top for a 60hz 1080p monitor but I dont have much exsperience on the 1080p cards to recommend one

Thanks for the input guys, will take that onboard. I’ve never gone with AMD, always stuck with what’s worked. Back to the question though, how long will it be until I need to upgrade parts? It’s mainly for gaming, but also for drone footage editing.

On any build, the GPU will be the first bottleneck in about 3 - 5 years.

That Intel build is an old processor, it's already 2 years old, so the build as a whole would only last about 5 - 7 years before being replaced.

An AMD would give you another 3 years or so on top of that while at the same time offering significantly better overall performance.

Intel are now the poor mans choice, they're years behind AMD in almost all areas, very weak processors.
