Mid-range gaming PC

With all my mates moving away from the Xbox and onto PC games, I think I need an upgrade from my laptop to something that can keep up with my friends. I'll be playing games like Crysis, Starcraft, Dawn of War, Magicka and hopefully games like Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls V when they come out. Not too bothered about playing on max settings, but would really prefer at least mid to high on most current games.I may also want to use it for video editing (probably videos using fraps or similar software). So, is this spec OK for a budget of around £600, and how future-proof is it?

Yes this will be fine for medium-high settings, I can't say exactly how future proof this will be but I'd recommend upgrading the graphics card to a HD6850 if you can afford to.

It might be worth going down the AMD route if working to a tight budget. If you can stretch the budget to £650 you could have this;
