Thank you for the quick response Tony i really appreciate it. can i ask you do you think it would be worth upgrading motherboard etc to be able to use this in the long term? or do my pc specs sound ok?

I would strongly consider replacing the standard AMD cooler, which is inappropriate for the 5700X; a decent 240mm AIO will do the job, providing that the unknown case can accommodate it.

A new motherboard able to run DDR5 RAM, would also need a new CPU as that CPU does not run on any AM5 platform (the '5' in the platform name denotes the RAM type, so AM3 = DDR3; AM4 = DDR4; AM5 = DDR5). But you seemed to have spent £250 more than you needed to on a high-end motherboard, but don't have any high-end components in there to match.

Without knowing the usage, it's difficult to say whether the PC is 'good enough' or not. But on that AM4 platform, the most you could do would be to put a 5950X in it (if it's a creativity PC), or a 5700X3D if it's a gaming PC. But as @Ekans2011 says, that cooler is not going to let the CPU perform to its best anyway, as it will be throttling the performance to keep it cool.

Thank you for your advice Tony. it's mostly for gaming, anything from total war warhammer 3 which sounds like a jet engine when i am playing, mount and blade 2 to first person shooters like rising storm vietnam, metro exodus etc. i will definitely take Ekans2011's advice and look to get a new cooler to help, And send back the ddr5 to corsair and get ddr4 64gb instead. Thank you to you both for sharing your computer knowledge with this caveman it has helped a lot :).

Because your case can only fit a 240/280mm on the front, make sure you install it correctly.
It would not be ideal in any scenario because there would be basically zero airflow and the temperature inside the case would always be high.

In the future, the case is a critical component of any system; it's more than just a metal box and you don't want to go cheap on it.

PS: You don't need 64GB of RAM for gaming unless you're going to play heavily modded games or flight SIMs. I would simply update to 32GB through PCS.

Thank you so much for all of your advice and video given Ekans. i will be looking to get a new case and cooler to help with the airflow

Be aware that replacing the case without PCS approval may void your warranty.
