Hi guys,

Looking for some help and answers because I have been at my wits end trying to solve this shit out the past few days!

Back Story: I had been having issues with USB ports recently and as a Simracer you tend to use a lot of USB slots and the bugginess was causing me force feedback issues as well as random disconnection spikes. After doing some research and speaking to fellow simracer peers including those with similar specs to mine they advised me to update my BIOS to the latest version. Since I bought this system back in 2021 I had never updated the BIOS so was in the manufactured BIOS version for my ASUS B550 Mobo.

The problem: I updated the BIOS through the ASUS app that you can download to monitor your system and then once it had processed the system began to reboot. However once I heard the boot sound beep it took me to the ASUS loading screen with a loading loop stating "Preparing Automatic Repair" and after about 10 seconds the loading loop would stop and then the screen would freeze and then the cycle would start again. As a test I left it on for an hour and the cycle was still never ending.

My fix attempts: I started with the usual attempt to just back roll to the version of the BIOS I was using using the Asus EZ flash option by downloading the BIOS onto a USB Flash Drive I had using a Laptop and then fixing that way. However after rolling back to the version I had been using for years and reloading optimised defaults the same issue applied. I then tried various different BIOS versions but still to no success. Anyone with an ASUS mobo or any mobo for that matter had a similar issue to me and was able to resolve this?

Any questions you may have please do not hesitate to ask and I'll give you info.

Thanks for reading and helping all!

It's a 2021 PC, so the standard warranty probably expired a long time ago, but OP can try to contact PCS for support. They can sometimes assist you even after your warranty has expired. 😉
